Reservations

All bookings are subject to availability. Submitting an enquiry through our website does not constitute a confirmed reservation.  Your reservation is confirmed only when you receive written confirmation from 1904 HOME Basel, including the agreed accommodation, dates and price.

Payment

Payment is normally made at check-in by card or cash in Swiss francs (CHF). For special events or longer stays, different payment arrangements may apply.  These will be communicated and agreed before your reservation is confirmed.

Cancellation

You may cancel your reservation free of charge up to five days before your scheduled arrival date.  For cancellations within five days of arrival or failure to arrive, please contact us as soon as possible. Any applicable cancellation or no-show charges will be stated in your booking confirmation.

Arrival and Departure

Check-in is available from 14:00.  Check-out is by 11:00 on the day of departure.  Earlier arrival or luggage drop-off may be possible by prior arrangement.

Accommodation

1904 HOME Basel offers guest rooms within a privately hosted historic house.  Guests have access to designated shared facilities, including the kitchen and living areas.  As a historic property, the house has stairs and does not have a lift.  Guest bedrooms are located on the second floor.

Basel Visitor Tax

Any applicable Basel visitor tax will be communicated as part of your booking arrangements. Eligible guests receive a BaselCard in accordance with local tourism requirements.
